Thomas Alwine Jr of Brockway has a preliminary hearing on Wednesday on charges he molested a nine year old girl.
Reports say on August 19th the victim and her mother went to the Brockway Police Department to report the assault. The victim said she was in a bedroom with a friend, the friend’s sibling and Alwine and she was under the covers because she was cold. Alwine allegedly touched the girl over and under her clothes in her “private area”. The mother stated they were Alwine’s and she saw her daughter under the covers and Alwine’s arm under the covers as well.
She took the victim outside and asked her if Alwine had touched her in any way and she said no. After returning home the girl told her mother that Alwine had touched her.
According to reports, Alwine when interviewed on the 20th was nervous, shaking and denied touching the girl before even being asked any questions. Through further investigation Alwine was charged on the 22nd and lodged in the Jefferson County Jail
