The sentencing of former DuBois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio has been rescheduled for Dec. 10 after his defense attorney requested a continuance because of a previously scheduled vacation.
According to WJAC news, Suplizio had been set to be sentenced Nov. 23 after pleading guilty last week to federal embezzlement and theft charges tied to the misuse of public and nonprofit funds. Federal prosecutors did not oppose the request, which was granted by U.S. District Judge Stephanie Haines.
Former co-defendant Roberta Shaffer also has pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing.
