An 89-year-old Delancey man died after a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Jefferson County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers said Andrew Meterko was attempting to turn left from Adrian Road onto state Route 310 (Harmony Road) around 9:17 a.m. when his Ford Escape was struck on the driver’s side by a Cadillac SRX. Police said the Cadillac driver tried to avoid the crash but was unable to do so. Meterko was ejected from his vehicle and transported to Penn Highlands DuBois, where he later died from his injuries. The other driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
