An 82-year-old DuBois man is facing charges after allegedly threatening to use a shotgun against a doctor, prompting a lockdown at Penn Highlands Punxsutawney and the cancellation of multiple appointments, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
ExploreJeffersonPa.com is reporting that, Ross Albert Kester was charged June 22 with misdemeanor terroristic threats causing serious public inconvenience and summary disorderly conduct in connection with the June 9 incident at the hospital in Young Township. Police allege Kester made the threat during a phone call with his primary care physician’s office while discussing complications following surgery and later told investigators he “misspoke.”
Court records show a summons was issued June 24, and Kester is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on July 22 before Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock.
