DuBois City Council voted to raise private pool rental fees by $25 per tier while keeping daily admission rates unchanged, citing increased lifeguard staffing costs for larger groups.
GantNews.Com is reporting that officials are also pursuing grant funding to improve DuBois City Park, including proposed kayak and canoe launches along Sandy Lick Creek and the replacement of aging restroom facilities with year-round “dry” units.
The city is awaiting potential state and conservation grants, with decisions expected later this year, and is considering the creation of a recreational authority to oversee park and pool operations.
