District 9 saw a busy day on the diamond April 15, with several competitive matchups in both baseball and softball. In baseball, Southern Huntingdon outslugged Curwensville 13–8, while DuBois rolled past Johnsonburg 11–1 in five innings. Elk County Catholic edged Punxsutawney 4–3 in a tight contest, and Port Allegany topped St. Marys 11–4. Coudersport also picked up a shortened 7–5 win over Northern Potter.
In softball, teams stayed just as active, highlighted by a split between Brockway and DuBois Central Catholic, with Brockway winning 5–2 before DCC answered 11–8. Brookville handled Central Clarion 9–3, Otto-Eldred shut out Coudersport 4–0 in five innings, and Southern Huntingdon defeated Curwensville 11–1. DuBois powered past Johnsonburg 14–3, Punxsutawney dominated Elk County Catholic 11–1, Knoch beat Karns City 10–3, and St. Marys outlasted Northern Potter 8–5 in eight innings.
