A Jefferson County man has been charged with corruption of minors following a forensic investigation into an alleged 2024 sexual assault, according to state police. James Michael McCullough, 33, of Summerville, faces two misdemeanor counts after authorities said DNA evidence from a sexual assault examination matched him as a potential contributor.
Police said the investigation began in August 2024 when a victim reported an incident at a Summerville Borough apartment. According to the criminal complaint, McCullough initially denied knowing the victim but later admitted they had sex after investigators confronted him with DNA results.
McCullough remains in the Jefferson County Jail on a probation violation, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 25.
