A Brookville taxidermist is facing a second round of criminal charges after police identified 15 additional victims in an ongoing investigation into alleged fraudulent business practices.
ExploreJeffersonPa.Com reports, Chad David Kurtz, 53, accepted money and animal remains from customers over several years without completing the promised work, with some victims waiting more than five years. Kurtz is charged with multiple counts of deceptive business practices, theft by deception and receiving stolen property and is being held in the Jefferson County Jail after failing to post $15,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 16.
