National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp. has filed a request with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to raise its base delivery rates by $19.7 million annually, a move that would increase the average residential customer’s bill by about $4.95 per month, or 5.9%, starting Nov. 1, 2026, if approved.
According to ExploreJeffersonPa.Com, The company cited inflation and infrastructure investments as reasons for the increase and said it plans to refund $7.2 million previously collected for retiree health benefits to help offset the impact.
The PUC will review the proposal over the next nine months.
