A Clarion man has been charged after police say surveillance video showed him taking composite boards from a private porch in broad daylight.
According to ExploreClarion.Com, Kenneth Ray Smith, 66, is charged with misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking after officers reviewed footage of an older man loading boards onto a trailer from a North 3rd Avenue residence in October, according to court documents.
Smith told police someone had given him permission but could not identify who, and the homeowner denied authorizing the removal. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 17.
