Advocacy groups gathered Sunday at Cold Stream Dam to protest the operation of the Moshannon Valley ICE Center.
Organizers, including the group Indivisible, are urging Clearfield County officials to end their contract with ICE and shut down the facility, which is managed by GEO Group. ICE responded in a statement, calling the protesters “misinformed activists” and warning that interference with operations or staff safety would bring an immediate law enforcement response.
ICE also emphasized that the Moshannon Valley center remains fully operational, staffed, and compliant with national detention standards.
