A member of the Penns Manor High School FFA has received a top honor from the state’s Future Farmers of America group at the Pennsylvania Farm Show.
Earlier this week, Ava Wenzel was awarded the FFA Keystone Degree, which is the highest award that one can earn in Pennsylvania. To earn the award, an FFA member must first earn Greenland and Chapter degrees, perform 25 hours of Community Service, take part in at least 15 FFA Activities, demonstrate leadership skills, advocate for both the FFA and agricultural causes, and have 300 hours outside of school and over $1000 invested in a supervised agricultural experience.
