A 50-year-old DuBois man is facing felony drug charges after Pennsylvania State Police said they seized about 1.4 pounds of suspected methamphetamine during an Interstate 80 traffic stop in Jefferson County.
According to a report from ExploreJeffersonPa.Com, investigators allege Matthew Solida was stopped April 14 for traffic violations and was driving with a suspended license. Police said a K-9 alerted to the vehicle, officers recovered suspected cocaine that was allegedly discarded during the arrest, and a subsequent search uncovered the methamphetamine hidden beneath the driver’s seat. Solida is charged with possession with intent to deliver, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and related offenses.
A preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
