Bridging Pennsylvania Constructors and PennDOT have canceled a planned lane closure on Interstate 80 east in Jefferson County that had been scheduled to begin Aug. 3 for paving operations as part of the North Fork Bridges Project.
The closure between the Route 36/28 Sigel/Brookville interchange (Exit 78) and the Route 28 Hazen interchange (Exit 81) was expected to last about seven days. PennDOT announced Thursday that the closure has been canceled.
Work on the bridge replacement project is expected to continue through summer 2028.
