Two people were hospitalized after a house exploded Thursday morning in Ferguson Township, Clearfield County, according to emergency officials.
WTAJ News reports Firefighters responded to the 300 block of Pentz Lane, where one homeowner had escaped and another was trapped on basement stairs inside the wreckage before being rescued. Both residents were taken to Penn Highlands DuBois for treatment. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation by the state fire marshal.
A nearby family member told WTAJ the blast could be felt from miles away.
