State police in Clarion County say a domestic dispute between a Strattanville couple escalated into multiple physical confrontations Monday, resulting in assault charges against both individuals.
According to an ExploreClarion.com article, 29-year-old Hayley Brooke Shirey and 30-year-old Kyle Joseph Harvey were each charged with simple assault and harassment after an argument over text messages allegedly turned violent at a residence on Jackson Street. Police said Harvey admitted to striking Shirey with a pillow, while Shirey allegedly punched Harvey, ripped his shirt and scratched him during the altercation. Troopers reported observing injuries on both individuals that were consistent with their accounts.
Both were taken into custody and lodged in the Clarion County Jail pending preliminary hearings scheduled for June 2.
