District 9 baseball action yesterday, Bradford topped Brookville 7-3, Otto-Eldred edged Cameron County 9-7, Karns City shut out Clarion-Limestone 9-0, and Bellefonte nipped Clearfield 3-2. Coudersport rolled past Oswayo Valley 14-4, Redbank Valley blanked Cranberry 9-0, and DuBois dominated Punxsutawney 12-1 in five innings. DuBois Central Catholic earned two wins, defeating Elk County Catholic 3-0 in nine innings and St. Marys 2-0, while Kane beat North Clarion 14-1 and Port Allegany handled Northern Potter 16-6.
In softball, Keystone swept A-C Valley/Union 25-1 (three innings) and 15-1 (five innings), Brookville took two from Bradford 17-13 and 20-3 (three innings), and Otto-Eldred blanked Cameron County 15-0 in three innings. Karns City beat Central Clarion 16-1 (three innings), Bellefonte shut out Clearfield 4-0, Cranberry defeated Redbank Valley 10-2, and Punxsutawney downed DuBois 5-2. DuBois Central Catholic edged Elk County Catholic 1-0, Kane beat Johnsonburg 12-2, and Northern Potter topped Port Allegany 7-0.
