Power was restored Monday to more than 400 homes in the Brookville area after a vehicle crash knocked out electricity for several hours, officials said.
The incident occurred along Taylor Street, where a car struck a utility pole, prompting the Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department to close while crews repaired the damage. Residents reported hearing popping sounds, flickering lights and electrical issues before the outage, though some homes retained power.
According to FirstEnergy, service was expected to be restored by 10 a.m., and Taylor Street has since reopened.
