A 55-year-old Jefferson County woman is facing felony charges after authorities say she failed to return a vehicle after her permission to use it was revoked.
According to ExploreJeffersonPa.Com, Reynoldsville Borough police charged Heather Adamson on April 22 with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, both third-degree felonies. Police said a firm acting as legal guardian for the vehicle’s owner notified Adamson on April 10 that she was no longer authorized to use the car and was instructed to return it within five days. Despite acknowledging the notice, the vehicle had not been returned by April 22, prompting a stolen vehicle report.
Adamson is scheduled for a preliminary arraignment April 27 before a district judge.
