A 44-year-old woman is facing assault charges after police say she stabbed a man in the knee during a domestic dispute late Saturday night.
Authorities allege Krisha Buehler attacked the victim at a residence on North Saint Marys Street following a verbal argument that escalated. Officers responding to the scene reported finding Buehler in the driveway holding a large knife, and she later admitted to the stabbing, according to an affidavit. The victim, who was bleeding and had a visible limp, was taken to Penn Highlands Elk for treatment.
Buehler is charged with felony aggravated assault and simple assault and is being held in the Elk County Jail on $25,000 bail.
