District 9 boys and girls basketball playoff action wrapped up Tuesday with several tight contests, highlighted by Cranberry edging Brookville 57-55 in overtime for the Class 3A championship and Clearfield defeating St. Marys 37-19 in the Class 4A title game.
In Class 1A semifinals, Johnsonburg beat North Clarion 48-32 and Elk County Catholic topped Cameron County 50-49. Class 2A quarterfinal winners included Redbank Valley over Moniteau 49-32 and Clarion over Port Allegany 52-46.
On the girls side, Cranberry defeated Brookville 41-27 in the Class 3A semifinal with District 8, while Clearfield claimed the Class 4A championship with a 56-43 win over St. Marys.
