District 9 released its 2026 basketball playoff brackets Thursday, naming top seeds that include DuBois Central Catholic (Class 1A girls), Keystone (2A girls), Karns City (3A girls), Clearfield (4A boys and girls) and Punxsutawney (5A girls), along with Elk County Catholic (1A boys), Clarion (2A boys) and Cranberry (3A boys).
Championship and subregional games will be played Feb. 17–28 at neutral sites, with several finals scheduled at PennWest Clarion’s Tippin Gym. Multiple teams in each classification will advance to PIAA postseason play.
