A rear-end collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. Jan. 19 on Route 208 in Beaver Township, Clarion County, after a deer entered the roadway, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers said a pickup truck driven by James A. Sowa, 20, of Knox, struck a vehicle operated by Jill A. Schmader, 57, of Fryburg, after Schmader stopped to avoid the animal. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed.
No injuries were reported, and both drivers were wearing seat belts. Sowa was cited for failing to drive at a safe speed
