A Shippenville man has been charged after allegedly assaulting his wife and barricading himself inside a home in Paint Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Troopers arrested 51-year-old Timothy Alan Seybert Jr. on Dec. 26 after the victim reported he pushed her to the floor and held her down by the neck during a dispute over her recording him on a cell phone, police said. Troopers observed bruising on her arms and said Seybert refused to exit the Route 322 residence, barricading the door before later surrendering without incident. Seybert was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment, jailed on $5,000 bail, and released Jan. 5 after posting bond.
The charges were waived to court following a preliminary hearing and the case was transferred to the Clarion County Court of Common Pleas.
