A preliminary hearing for Chase Wayan Steigerwald, the Clarion man charged with criminal homicide in the stabbing death of 45-year-old Rachel Roman, has been rescheduled for Dec. 16.
Police say Roman, of DuBois, was found dead in Steigerwald’s Main Street apartment on Nov. 5 and that he attempted to stage the killing as a suicide before calling 911.
Steigerwald, 34, remains in the Clarion County Jail without bail.
