District championship weekend and the opening round of the PIAA football playoffs are set for tonight, featuring several marquee matchups across western Pennsylvania.
In District 9 Class 1A, undefeated defending champion Port Allegany takes on Redbank Valley at Kane’s Miller Stadium. Senior standout Aiden Bliss enters the title game with 7,332 career rushing yards and 114 touchdowns—both District 9 records.
In Class 4A, D9 champion Punxsutawney (10-1) visits D10 champ Oil City (9-1) on turf for what could be one of the weekend’s most intriguing games. Airtime on 100.9 FM is 6:45 pm.
Over in Class 3A, Brockway hosts Penn Cambria at Varischetti Field, while in Class 2A, D10 powerhouse Farrell travels to D9 champion Karns City as the Steelers chase a fifth straight district crown.
