The DuBois City Council and DuBois-Sandy Township Joint Board have approved releasing a timber sale prospectus for a planned harvest near Christian Ridge Road.
The Courier Express reports, Consulting forester Kenny Kane said the project, two decades in preparation, will include about 627,000 board feet of timber and is scheduled for late 2025. The motion allows bids to open Dec. 5, with council consideration on Dec. 10.
Kane also noted the city’s 10-year forest management plan, last updated in 2015, is due for review.
