The Big Lots store in DuBois may stay open despite the company’s bankruptcy and nationwide closures.
Variety Wholesalers plans to acquire up to 400 Big Lots locations, including the DuBois store, under a deal with Gordon Brothers. A court filing on Feb. 3 confirmed 200 stores set for takeover, with final objections due by Feb. 18.
The move aims to preserve jobs and maintain the Big Lots brand.
