Four people have been charged in a federal indictment for alleged conspiracy to engage in international firearms trafficking.
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced the charges against the defendants who are from Brampton, Ontario, Canada and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The indictment alleges that Durante King-McClean was stopped by Pennsylvania State Police in Franklin County after trooper saw several vehicle violations.
Prosecutors say King-McClean, who was illegally in the United States from Canada, ran away when troopers discovered a load of weapons in the rental car. Some 65 guns were found that were allegedly destined to be illegally smuggled into Canada.
