Jefferson County commissioners unanimously passed a resolution setting the dates for mail-in voting from March 1 to April 23.
Today’s Punxsutawney Spirit says they emphasized the transparency and security of the process, with each ballot carefully monitored and recorded. Commissioners highlighted the use of cameras for surveillance and the barcoding of mail-in ballots to ensure accountability. Any ballot un-dated or that is dated outside of March 1 to April 23 will be set apart from the others.
Commissioners reassured the public that any issues with ballots are handled transparently, with representatives from both political campaigns observing the process in the past without finding any issues.
