All three Punxsutawney Fire Companies responded to a fire at 45 Starlite Lane, Bell Township, on Tuesday afternoon.
The Punxsutawney Spirit reports, that when they arrived, there was smoke but no flames. They worked to extinguish the blaze, which seemed to start near the laundry room and kitchen. The homeowner’s pets were safely rescued, including a cat found under a couch in the basement. The Spirit adds the fire caused damage to the kitchen, laundry room, and part of the living room.
The cause of the fire was undetermined, pending investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the insurance company.
