A home in White Township was destroyed by a fire yesterday morning.
Indiana County 911 dispatched the Indiana Fire Association along with crews from Creekside, Clymer, and Cherryhill Township at 2:16 AM for the fire along Route 286 East between Airport Road and the Jail Complex. Indiana Fire First Assistant Chief Ron Moreau said that the house was fully involved by the time crews arrived and it was far away from the road in a wooded area, but they were able to access a nearby hydrant.
Crews were on the scene for about three hours fighting the blaze. No word yet on the cause, but state police fire marshals have been called in to investigate.
