The Punxsutawney Borough Council appointed Dr. William T. Spencer as the new borough manager in a unanimous decision at Monday’s meeting.
According to the Punxsutawney Spirit, Spencer, a former police officer and FEMA employee from Mahaffey, will continue teaching at Lock Haven University while serving in his new role. His desire to return home motivated his decision to take the job.
Additionally, they are seeking a new borough secretary as Sam Sulkosky, the interim borough manager, departed from his position.
