The 61st brush fire of the year was reported yesterday in Indiana County, and fire crews were able to keep it from spreading to multiple RV’s.
The fire was reported at 9:35 yesterday morning on Steele Road in East Mahoning Township. Marion Center and Plumville volunteer fire departments were dispatched at the time. Marion Center fire officials did not say how big the fire was on the department’s Facebook page, but it was close enough to be considered a danger for several RVs nearby. Firefighters were able to put the blaze out quickly and no campers were damaged.
The exact cause of the fire was not announced.
