The DuBois city council election results are not official until June 5.
WTAJ News reports the write-in Republican candidates Jennifer Jackson and Elliot M. Gelfand received 722 and 601 votes, respectively. In the Democratic race, Jackson and Gelfand were the top write-in candidates after Diane Bernardo was eliminated.
In the mayoral race, write-in candidate Duane Patrick Reasinger apparently won handily against incumbent Edward Walsh, who was the only Republican on the ballot. The published report adds, Reasinger will be the only mayoral candidate on the ballot in November.
