The Pirates travel to the Great Northwest tonight to open a two-city road road trip that will close out the month of May. Joe Block has a preview.
Keller is 2-1 with a 2.73 ERA in five starts on the road this season.
ALTOONA CURVE
The Altoona Curve’s hot bats kept it up last night against Hartford. The Curve crushed the Yard Goats 16-0. The Curve had 12 hits and drew 10 walks while blasting four home runs. Andres Alvarez hit a two-run home run and a grand slam. Mason Martin, Claudio Finol, and Henry Davis all had two hits and Martin and Finol each homered. Kyle Nicolas got the win, going five innings and giving up three hits while walking two and striking out six.
In the three games of the series so far, the Curve have scored 35 runs on 33 hits.
Altoona will go with a bullpen game tonight, with Tahnaj Thomas starting.
