We have more information about the local resident who faces dozens of child pornography charges.
Authorities arrested Edward Frank of Reynoldsville following an investigation that dated back to June 2018. Reports say the 65-year-old Frank shared a suspected video involving child pornography with an undercover detective; in November of that year, state police reportedly seized more than 280 photos and 34 videos of suspected child porn from storage devices in Frank’s home. Frank is said to have admitted using a file sharing service to download films, but denied using it for child porn.
Frank is being held in Jefferson County Jail on $70,000 bail. He will be arraigned July 30th.

A Cherry Tree man was seriously injured Friday morning in a crash on Shawna Road, about a half-mile off Main Street in Cherry Tree.
State police say it happened at about 5:50 AM when 47-year-old Jeremy Smith’s vehicle left the road on a left-hand curve before going airborne for about 25 feet, impacting an embankment and rolling onto its roof. Cherry Tree firefighters had to extricate Smith from the vehicle.
He was flown to UPMC Altoona with severe injuries.
