The Shirey sisters, Haley and Hannah, both of Strattenville, were sentenced Wednesday according to reports from the Jefferson County’s D.A.’s office.
The Shireys were each sentenced to nine months to a maximum of 23 months and two years’ probation. Haley Shirey was found guilty of neglect of a care dependent person and simple assault. Hannah Shirey was found guilty of the same charges and reckless endangerment.
The charges came from an incident at Laurelbrooke Landing in early June. The pair were also fined and will no longer be able to care for elderly people. The sentence was handed down by Judge Foradora.
